Gillian Cross at Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Dorchester Libraries

Meet award winning author and creator of the Demon Headmaster, Gillian Cross at Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Dorchester Libraries, 23 August.

Gillian was born on the edge of London and, for as long as she can remember, has loved reading books and stories.

Gillian always wanted to write books of her own. When she was at school, she used to while away the long train journey home by telling her friends an never ending serial all about themselves.

Gillian has been writing children’s books for over 20 years, and she has won the Carnegie Medal for Wolf and the Smarties Prize and the Whitbread Children’s Novel Award for The Great Elephant Chase. Gillian’s immensely popular Demon Headmaster series has been serialised on BBC television.

Gillian will be at Shaftesbury Library 10am, Sherborne Library 12pm and Dorchester Library 2.30pm.
